Katharine Wheeler is an internationally exhibited artist based in Glasgow. Her paintings, both figurative and landscape, use pixelated blocks of colour to create a highly tactile surface from which the subject is sculpted. Although representational and anatomically accurate, Katharine manages to capture the life of a piece as a work in progress rather than just a polished product, the thoughts of her figures brought to life. Her work has been highly commended as achieving a real depth and feeling of space.
